Learning Outside of the Classroom
Are you looking to help your students learn more about the legacy of Berks County? Consider bringing them to the Berks History Center, where they’ll discover the origins of the county, the contributions of prominent historical figures, major industries and manufacturers, and the evolution of transportation in the region. Students will tour our exhibitions in groups and participate in activities such as scavenger hunts designed to keep them engaged.
To schedule a trip, contact BHC’s Education Curator, Vicky Heffner, by calling 610-375-4375.
The Berks History Center is proud to receive Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) funding from generous corporations to help subsidize field trips and transportation costs for Pennsylvania Public and Charter School students. Contact our Education Department for more information on eligibility and availability of funds, as this program is administered on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t hesitate to book your trip to the museum today!
